Temporary Art
This stepped cardboard installation was designed and built by Berlin University of Arts students to display their own work and meandered around a gallery at their summer show.
"Eco" has become the key word of Design industries nowadays, usage of non traditional materials is also a main trend. This cardboard can be also considered as a piece of temporary art work rather than a mere installation
The cardboard itself, despite being light in nature, provides enough rigidity not only for the books, but also for the lowest shelf, which doubles as a bench for events, a place to display oversized objects, or simply to sit comfortably while leafing through a book.
The originally rectangular room was transformed into an unique space with the shelving units serving as background and space-defining elements. By cutting away the corners of the rooms, enough storage space was ensured for the inventory.
At the end of the four days, the shelving unit was auctioned off, ensuring funding for more publications as well as the continuance of the Bookshop in the coming year.

sculpture as a sign
This is one of the creative sign system for industrial areas in Madrid. It has been conceived in order to guide the visitor, who is not familiar with the site, visually to his destiny in clear and evident way. Therefore, the system employs two types of pedestals.
The objective of the design of the first is to give a recognizable and distinctive image to the areas in order to visualize and identify them from long distance and from any angle of approximation and mark the main access points.
Once located the industrial areas, the pedestal facilitates more detailed graphic information – a map of the area and a list of all companies. This information is repeated on the secondary pedestals strategically located in the interior of each industrial area.
At night the signs are illuminated from within by white LEDs linked to the local street lamp timers, while galvanised steel steps and walkways inside allow for maintenance.
